Abstract: In this study, we developed encapsulating Paclitaxel drug in Cassava starch – Polyvinyl alcohol/cloisite 30B [PLX-CSH-PVA/C30B] nanocomposites. CSH-PVA/C30B was characterized by FTIR, XRD. The PLX-loaded CSH-PVA/C30B was evaluated by particle size, surface charge, entrapment efficacy, and effect of pH in drug release profile. Additionally, drug entrapment efficacy (EE) was up to 66%; CSH-PVA/C30B showed a pH-responsive drug release in vitro. The PLX release was nearly 74% at pH 4.4 and 68% at pH 7.4.The current work proves the potential of pharmacology that involves a fusion of advanced techniques from nanoscience to develop the biology and used in the fields of drug delivery, Bio Sensor Manufacturing, Medical therapy and the development of PLX-CSH-PVA/C30B nanocomposites for sustained, controlled release and may be useful for breast cancer treatment.
