Abstract: Gelatin/carboxylic acid-functionalized multiwalled carbon nanotubes (f-MWCNTs) nanocomposites were prepared by insitu polymerization method using ammonium persulfate (APS) as an oxidant at room temperature. Ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy (UV-vis) and Fourier transmission infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) analysis provided an evidence for the formation of nanocomposites. XRD spectra showed that the semi crystalline nature of chitosan was not affected much by the addition of f-MWCNTs.
